Abstract
This text discusses modern and innovative methods of treating varicose veins of the lower extremities. The etiology and risk factors of the disease are briefly described. The main attention is paid to the classification and detailed analysis of modern minimally invasive techniques such as endovenous laser and radiofrequency ablation, sclerotherapy, foam obliteration (Varithena), VenaSeal adhesive system, as well as outpatient phlebectomy. The principles of operation, key advantages and limitations are given for each method. It is emphasized that the transition from classical surgery to minimally invasive technologies allows achieving high efficiency (up to 95–98%), reducing recovery time and improving the quality of life of patients. The choice of the optimal method should be individual.
