Abstract
This article scientifically examines the etiology, epidemiology, clinical manifestations, diagnostic methods, and treatment effectiveness of fungal skin diseases (dermatomycoses). The study found that Trichophyton rubrum occupies a leading position among dermatophytes. Among clinical forms, tinea pedis and onychomycosis were observed most frequently. Combined (topical and systemic) antimycotic therapy demonstrated higher effectiveness compared to topical treatment alone. The results confirm the importance of early diagnosis, laboratory confirmation, and a comprehensive approach in the management of fungal skin diseases.
