Abstract
This paper analyzes the stages of formation of the digital transformation concept, its essence, and current trends from a scientific and theoretical perspective. The study reveals the evolution of digital transformation from initial stages of informationization and automation to becoming a tool for integrated management, innovation development, and institutional renewal. In addition, it substantiates the importance of digitalization in higher education, including optimization of management processes, improvement of educational quality, digitalization of academic and administrative activities, and transparency and efficiency assurance.
