Abstract
The elimination of the consequences of tuberculous lesions of the musculoskeletal system, particularly of the hip joint, presents significant challenges, especially in terms of restorative and rehabilitative treatment of patients who have undergone radical reconstructive surgery. In most cases, these are severely disabled individuals who have not only lost their working capacity but also their ability to move and perform self-care. As is well known, the clinical course of tuberculous coxitis is often accompanied by extensive bone destruction and serious complications such as spinal and joint deformities, cold abscesses, fistulas, and spinal cord disorders. Therefore, when determining the treatment strategy, preference should be given to active and radical methods capable of effectively addressing both the specific infectious process and the resulting anatomical and functional impairments.
