ASSOCIATION OF THYROID AUTOIMMUNITY WITH ENDOCRINE AND METABOLIC PARAMETERS IN POLYENDOCRINE METABOLIC OVARIAN SYNDROME
Published: 2026-04-18
Abstract
Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome is a common endocrine and metabolic disorder among women of reproductive age, characterized by hyperandrogenism, menstrual irregularities, insulin resistance, and excess body weight. In recent years, the relationship between polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome and autoimmune thyroid processes has become an important topic of scientific investigation. Elevated levels of thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPOAb) in polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome may be associated with thyroid function and metabolic parameters.
